Broadway November 17th Day 2

Monty the motorhome is so happy that he has blended in with the autumn colours that he is staying put at the Broadway site for a second day.

Well why not. We've been deprived of his company for the past few weeks, so an extra night away seemed like a good idea. Not that the weather agreed with us. It has been a dull, misty day with the promise of cold weather to come. So no photos today.

We had a lazy morning just reading the papers, eating toast and local honey (infused with ginger), then walked into Broadway village again. We had sussed out the eating establishments the day before and decided the renowned fish and chip shop, Russells, would receive our lunchtime patronage.
We shared a starter of squid, cod cheeks and whitebait, which came with home made guacamole, tartar sauce and mayonnaise. The squid was a bit rubbery, but the rest was finger lickin good. Then to the main event - the fish and chips. We both has haddock in batter, with home made mushy peas and chips.  Once again the fingers got a good licking at the end.

After a little wander around the village it was back to the campsite. On route we met one of my old work colleagues, who also has a motorhome and was staying on the same site. You just can't go anywhere without someone popping up from the past!

This evening will be spent reading, maybe a film (Argo last night), some more re-positioning of the new MiFi device to see if we can improve our signal, and some cake eating.
