Monty the Motorhome is sulking as he is the only Murvi left on site at Kettlewell. Everyone else has departed.
A quiet day for me then, as I just wanted a rest after two days of walking. Housekeeping was the main task, making sure everything was in the right place and clean. It is surprising how quickly things become disorganised, even when on my own.
Went for a stroll around Kettlewell, which I suppose can be described as a typical Dales small village. Plenty of people about, with an about even mix of car based tourists, walkers and cyclists. Visited the village stores and stocked up on some local produce: Masham pork sausages from Ripon, Langley Farm yoghurt from Holmfirth, Birchfield ice cream from Nidderdale, meat and potato pies, curd and currant cake and some decent bread.

Had a shower in the van! Decided to try it out after speaking to others yesterday. Surprising how much room there was and didn't use much water, though you have to adopt the sequence of wet your body > switch water off > soap and shampoo > water back on and shower the suds off. Fairly easy to clean up afterwards with a sponge cloth and a few kitchen towels. No problem with the rest of the van steaming up - though of course the temperature outside is fairly warm.

Tomorrow I shall be saying goodbye to this site. However I have every intention of returning at some stage in the future. For reference the co-ordinates are N 54.14806, W 002.04987
