May 18th 2015: Cornwall: Treloan 3

Monty the Motorhome is being buffeted by winds and the occasional shower. This being the first bit of wet weather we've had so far.

The rain lashed down this morning, but by midday it eased off and we stepped out. This time in the opposite direction to yesterday. We walked to the hamlet of Place - yes that is the name of the place - with views across to St Mawes, along little roads and tracks full of birdlife. Whitethroats and Stonechats being of particular interest as we don't get them at home. Then a return along the coast path, with more spectacular bays and coves.

Tea tonight will be chicken supreme - the 'supreme' bit will be reconstituted package stuff. However if it is as good as the Aldi Balti yesterday, it will be fine.

Tomorrow we will be moving on, so internet coverage is uncertain. On that point we have had mixed fortunes with our coverage. Our little Mi-Fi has picked up signal, but quite often it has been very weak. Quite honestly I am not impressed with mobile internet. Signal coverage seems very patchy right across the UK, even in built up areas. Also it is really inconsistent - one minute you have a really strong signal, then the next minute it has dwindled to nothing. Maybe an aerial linked to the Mi-Fi might be the answer, but I have been holding off investing money in that, thinking that technology is marching along so swiftly that some new gizmo will be available in the near future.
