July 27th 2015: Norway: The roadtrip begins

Monty the Motorhome is parked up on the overnight ferry ‘Stenna Hollandica’ on his way from Harwich to the Hook of Holland.

Yes, after many weeks of inactivity we have dusted the cobwebs off him (literally) and set off on our summer roadtrip to Norway.

Leaving home just before 1400hrs we made good progress until just before Cambridge. Then we tried to be clever and by pass advertised hold ups. In the end I’m not sure we gained very much, but did see a bit more of the countryside.

Evening meal was taken at a pub just outside Braintree - ‘The Dolphin’. Good home cooked food and plenty of it. Just what we needed.

Now we have full stomachs, for what looks to be a windy night crossing. The forecast for tomorrow is not good, so not looking forward to driving through Holland and Germany in the rain.
